Location

Hillside Cottage is a picturesque whitewashed cottage in the village of Gorran Churchtown in Cornwall’s ‘National Landscape’ formally known as an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Further to this it is just one mile from the sandy beach at Gorran Haven and three miles South West of the popular fishing harbour of Mevagissey.

Heritage

Originally laid out as two separate cottages dating back to the 1800s, Hillside Cottage has been combined and extensively extended and modernised. We have retained the character of the original properties with low beamed ceilings, period style sash windows, ledged and braced doors downstairs. Also there is an original fireplace with cloam oven and a second fireplace with a wood burning stove. Furthermore for those modern luxuries there is a fitted kitchen, en-suite bathroom, family shower room, gas central heating, broadband and wireless internet. More recently we have added a sun lounge, which opens onto a large slate patio. From here you can enjoy the large, sunny, secluded rear garden.
